At the age of 7, most kids who grow up to become poker pros are merely hanging around their father’s poker table while the grownups play. 7 year-old Alexa Fisher, on the other hand, is busy refining her strategy in all of the poker disciplines, which she has already learned by the way.

Fisher knows how to play H.O.R.S.E., badugi, Omaha, Stud, and Hold’em…..and you thought recently learning Omaha made you special. The fact that she already knows how to play these poker games is nothing short of amazing.

Of course, being such a prodigy has went to Fisher’s head somewhat since she recently said, “I know how to shuffle and deal the cards, raise, check, fold, and bluff. I also know how to play deuce-to-seven lowball, H.O.R.S.E., and badugi. I can now play any poker game with the best poker players in the world!”

I think it’s impressive that she’s playing all of these games, but I’m not quite sure she can compete with the world’s best yet. However, she reportedly did show some solid skills in a $30 charity tournament recently where Fisher outlasted half of the field before getting knocked out.

Besides outlasting half a field of adult players, Fisher already shows a propensity towards being a poker lifer. When faced with the choice to visit Disneyland or the WSOP, she chose to visit the Rio and watch poker’s best compete against each other.

I’d really love to see Fisher grow up to be a poker pro someday and play against many of her idols that she met at the WSOP. However, it’s a long road ahead to make it to the top, and I hope Alexa doesn’t fizzle out on the way or anything.
