Jack Link’s Beef Jerky has been a part of poker for the last two years, and it appears as if it will be even longer after they renewed their deal to sponsor the World Series of Poker through 2012. Jack Link’s will dominate the advertising during the tournament series on ESPN as well as advertising in other WSOP-related promotions.

The Vice President of the WSOP, Ty Stewart, was full of zeal about the partnership when he said, “This remains a great fit between two category-leading brands. We couldn’t ask for a better organization to be our lead sponsor. We love being with a market dominator that shares our sense of fun and irreverence.”

Some of the most popular commercials from Jack Link’s featured a “sasquatch” character. Jack Link’s has been able to sneak poker tie-ins into their advertisements; one of the first was back in 2009 when they made the “shuffle up and deal” motto in the opening of the WSOP.

Before being sponsored by Jack Link’s Beef Jerky, the WSOP was sponsored by a variety of high profile advertisers like Degree antiperspirant, the kings of chocolate – otherwise known as Hershey, the source of wholesome energy from Pepsi’s SoBe Adrenaline Rush energy drink, Milwaukee’s Best Light beer and last but not least, there was the ED magic pill known as Levitra.

The sponsorship between Jack Link’s Beef Jerky and the World Series of Poker will no doubt be beneficial to both companies. The kings of jerky will get their products seen by millions of poker fans watching the WSOP, while the WSOP will continue to have a high profile advertiser sponsoring their game.
