There is an awesome new game out called Wii Poker where people are able to play Texas Hold’em with others from around the world via their television set. And what’s cool about this Texas Hold’em game is that you’re able to manipulate a wide selection of controls and features to take the game’s experience to another level.

You begin with making a personalized animated character otherwise known as a Mii to look just like you…..or nothing like you if you prefer. You’re able to adjust facial features such as the color of hair, eyes, and skin. And you can add accessories for nearly any look you want. But if you’re not into dressing up animated characters, you can always use the default characters provided.

To add to the already awesome game, you’re even able to roll over your view of the table by using the Wii Remote. Based on the location you’ve decided on to play at, it also enables you to have different backgrounds. You have your choice between Las Vegas, Monaco, and New York just to name a few.

As with any game, you’ll have a tutorial to get some skilled advice that will aid you in making plays. The tutorial covers everything from strategy when playing draws to bluffing. Of course Wii Poker won’t ever be as exciting as playing for real cash like you’re able to in an online poker room, but it is definitely a positive thing for the growth of poker video game technology.
