There has been poker players who have ran marathons, broke their vegan vows, and golfed for almost $20,000 a hole. However, there hasn’t been any poker players who have been made to move from their home to another country for a prop bet until now. Jeff Madsen, the famous poker pro, is throwing a twist into the life of poker prop betting.

He is said to be moving to Israel on April 15th and will likely be there just before May 28th when the WSOP begins. Madsen announced the prop bet through a Twitter post as he typed out, “Just accepted a sick prop bet: I have to move to Israel until the World Series, no outside contact with friends, no cell phone, etc. 50k bet.”

Jeff Madsen revealed to reporters how it all started by saying, “I met a guy a couple of weeks ago at a charity event. He was a rich businessman who played high stakes and we started talking about how I make crazy prop bets. One thing led to another and it came up that I needed some extra money. I agreed to a bet where I’d move to another country.”

This isn’t, and probably won’t be the last time Madsen is involved with prop bets because he has been known as the kind of guy who makes crazy wagers. He got involved with Gavin Smith and Joe Sebok recently applying a tattoo. The stakes included the first two players to bust out of the LA Poker Classic would have to get the winner’s face tattooed on their body. Sebok was the unlucky one to bust out first so he was forced to get both Smith and Madsen’s faces tattooed on his body. Madsen was the second to get out of the tourney so, unfortunately, he had to get Smith’s ‘handsome’ face somewhere on his body (don’t want to know where)..
